Ashley Rose Youngs MNCPS(.acc)
Hi I'm Ash, I offer integrative counselling that is shaped around you, recognising that everyone’s experiences, needs, and pace are different. My aim as a counsellor is to create a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe enough to be yourself, heard, and understood.
Working together, we can gently explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, helping you build greater self-awareness and understanding. We may also look at patterns, roles, and beliefs formed earlier in life that can continue to influence how you see yourself or relate to others.
I can offer creative approaches such as art, projection cards, or sandtray, which can allow emotions and experiences to be explored in gentle ways that don’t rely solely on words, and somatic work to bring awareness to the body.
My areas of focus are autism, ADHD and AuDHD, abuse, burnout, anxiety, and inner child work. A combination of training, lived experience and personal connection allows me to work with understanding and empathy of the challenges and psychological impact they may carry.
I am also able to support my clients with experiences of grief, questions around identity, relationship difficulties, chronic health conditions such as fibromyalgia and M.E, loss, stress, overwhelm and depression.
I can help with;
Training, qualifications & experience:
Level 3 Certificate in Counselling skills NCPS Accredited
Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling NCPS Accredited
Level 5 Award in Understanding Neurodivergence and Trauma CPCAB
TA 101
Domestic Abuse Champion - Reducing The Risk

[Ashley] is wonderful, amazing... I’ve loved seeing her; the
experience for me has been life-changing.
Ashley has shown incredible compassion, professionalism and patience throughout the time we’ve worked together. The sometimes painful and scary process of reexamining one’s self has been made so much easier. Trusting Ashley as a guide through that process was second nature almost immediately.
I cannot recommend her highly enough for someone who, like me, was new to therapy. Not only have I reframed why past experiences and reactions, I am now armed with the tools to manage my own cognitive load on a daily basis, which is truly life changing.
I found Ash to be very approachable, friendly, easy to talk to, empathetic and professional. She is creative in her work and knowledgeable in different counselling skills.
Ash makes you feel so relaxed and at ease.
Ash was very professional, kind and supportive and put me at ease from the start.
